EXTERNAL DOORS Oak Range
"External oak doors are becoming increasingly popular, the construction of these doors are what we call engineered. The advantage of engineered doors is that the doors remain much more stable and are less likely to bow, warp, or twist over a given period of time and are not as heavy as usual. Great care must be taken to finish these doors referring to the manufacturer’s instructions. We would recommend a good finish such as Sikkens or Sadolin exterior coating, preferably micro porous allowing the wood to breathe. Direct door shop will only guarantee the doors if they have been finished to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If by any chance there are no instructions with the doors you purchase from us, then you must not finish or attempt to finish the doors and must inform us within 3 working days were we to obtain the instructions for you."
