Certifire Product Conformity Certification
J.B Kind has achieved CERTIFIRE status for the majority of designs in the Royale and Ilusion ranges (Certification NO. CF 338).
Our CERTIFIRE certification validates these products as suitable for use as fire doors and provides the means to independently authenticate the quality and performance of the Royale and Illusion doors.
The CERTIFIRE systems
The CERTIFIRE systems involves rigorous type testing, audit testing and factory production control combined with current fire test evidence and ISO 9000 Quality Assured production, ensuring that the fire doors supplied will provide the same level of performance as those tested, The scheme is gaining growing acceptance by the enforcement authorities – Building Control, the Fire Brigades and Trading Standards.
Critical to the identification of these fire doors is the permanent tamper evident label affixed to every door. This label gives details of the door’s fire rating, CF338 certification number, details of the manufacturer or supplier and a unique number of each individual door.
All this provides specifiers, regulators and purchasers with the certainty that the fire doors will fulfil the standards expected of them.
INDUSTRY LEADING FIRE DOORS
Safety is always in our minds. Following continued research and testing we have expanded our options for FD30 fire doors even further than before.
Fire doors don’t have to look ‘functional’. Many of our doors are offered with complimentary options for use in fire situations. Our doors are tested to exceed the requirements of BS 476 pt22 to comply with the current building regulations.
Please remember that it is complete door set assembly when fitted that must comply with the standard. Doors must always be fitted to incorporate the correct intumescents for smoke seals as well as incorporating appropriate ironmongery, fame section, glazing and even timber type. Each door ‘system’ has individual requirements. There is no place for a ‘one size fits all’ approach to fire doors.
To that end, J.B Kind has invested heavily in the research ad development of our products through our own testing. We prefer not to rely on third party claims or certificates issued by unknown organisations from abroad. Our products are used in the UK and as such we are only confident to supply them in the knowledge that the test evidence is valid. To further support the integrity of our Royale and Ilusion ranges we have achieved Product Conformity Status through the CERTFIRE scheme.
